Voters Evolt! promotes a Peaceful Political Evolution consisting of a national voting holiday and uniform paper ballot which asks questions on a National Policy Referendum and provides for a Write-in Vote for President.
Interviews regarding the Evolt were conducted at the Netroots Nation Conference held in June 2011 in Minneapolis.
Among other political leaders, comments were obtained from five Congressmen, one U.S. Senator and three state representatives.

On Sunday, another two Bolivian departments voted for autonomy. The referendum was accompanied by confrontations between supporters and opponents of autonomy, road blocks and the burning of ballot boxes. With a majority of nearly half a million, the residents of Beni and Pando voted for a statute that will make them more independent of President Evo Morales’ government.

The Lisbon Treaty looks set to be rejected by the Irish people as counting of votes continues around the country this evening.
With only seven of 43 constituencies left to declare a result, the No vote is leading by 53.4 per cent to 46.6 per cent. All but six constituencies have rejected the treaty, with a national running total of 641,786 voting in favour of (…) -
Sinn Féin calls for massive turnout in Lisbon Treaty referendum

Sinn Féin MEP Mary Lou McDonald speaking on the eve of poll on the Lisbon Treaty referendum called on people to come out and vote in massive numbers to give the government a strong mandate to re-negotiate the Treaty and get a better deal for Ireland. Ms. McDonald was on a walkabout in Dublin City Centre with Aengus Ó Snodaigh TD and Councillor Killian Forde.

Sinn Fein urges ’No’ vote

London - Irish Republican party Sinn Fein urged voters on Wednesday to vote against the European Union’s controversial treaty, in a crunch referendum being watched anxiously by Ireland’s EU partners.
Sinn Fein, the political wing of the Irish Republican Army, is the only mainstream Irish party against the Lisbon Treaty, whose fate is to be voted on by the Irish on Thursday.

THE LISBON Treaty could face a shock rejection with the No side now in the lead, according to the findings of the latest Irish Times /TNS mrbi poll.
It will take an unprecedented swing in the last week of the campaign for the treaty to be carried.
The poll shows the number of people intending to vote No has almost doubled to 35 per cent (up 17 points) since the last poll three weeks ago, while the number of the Yes side has declined to 30 per cent (…)
